Ogawa Yoko exhibition ”Transforming Consciousness”
Published: January 26 2022

From exhibition works, "When I am released" acrylic gouache on paper, 257×364㎜, 2019

Yoko Ogawa has been creating abstract paintings on the theme of energy flow and transformation of mind and consciousness for 20 years. Although it is not visible to the eye but the mind and consciousness creates our reality. The process from the beginning of human self-awareness to the deepest self-awareness, which can be said to be true self, is divided into five themes. ‘For me to become myself’, ‘centre of explosion’, ‘release point’, ‘things that overflow’ and ‘the quiet place no matter whatever happens’. She tries to express herself through abstract painting, interacting the images that emerge from those themes with her thoughts and life experiences.
