Aichi Prefecture is a region that has come under the spotlight as one of the centers of Japanese art, where three art universities and a number of museums and galleries are located. This artistically rich ground has continually produced numerous nationally and internationally active artists. From such a perspective, this exhibition reviews the progress of art in Aichi through our collection, from the new dawn of the art scene after the Second World War to the latest developments.
