eitoeiko is pleased to present the solo exhibition Rider, Stream and Speed by Yuki Yoshida. What we see is different by people. According to this principle, Yuki Yoshida(b.1971) makes a work intentionally. Yoshida makes its form variously interpreted by people. The image is the vague world itself, where we live. The ambiguity of actual world is the same as the uncertainty of true. The artist indicates the inconsistency between realities. The exhibition is titled from a masterpiece which is painted by British Romanticism painter, Joseph Mallord William Turner (1775-1851). Yoshida attempts to look for another world between life and death. By the video installation with motorcycle, viewer can get to see the moving image which the artist experienced.

[作家コメント]
The image of my work is a scene of the future. Something hit me when I ride my HONDA FT500 on Tokyo Metropolitan Expressway at a dangerous speed. The situation, that I might be in danger of dying, made me being able to see the clear image.
