The exhibition consists of about 50 works from the selection of his latest, never been shown works. After returning from the United States, where he studied photography, Shigekazu Onuma (b. 1972) has continuously produced his photographic works and presented them through several magazines and his photo book HELLO MY NAME IS SHIGEKAZU ONUMA (2001, Art Days), while working in advertising. "Just keep unclear things as they are, there should be things only bared from the very unclearness, or in other words, nothingness" says Onuma. Repeating dialogue between "I" and "I, who objectively watches the 'I'" through everyday life, and releasing the shutter whenever he felt the urge,Onuma allows the things unshaped, or sometimes contradicted, to be photographed just as they are. On the contrary, however, this rather highlights the unexaggerated outline of the existence.
