IKEGAMI is a maternity nurse. She has talked us that life and death are opposite side of the same coin through encountering the new births. She says that we are all the existence like copies in the genetic sides. The creation is an important action to sustain her mind in the tremendous and sublime scene of giving birth for her. At the same time, it is the method for feeling and showing beauty of the genetic distribution itself. This time we present the latest installation displaced sounds from letters of DNA.

The traces as “the individual” are divorced from the biological body unconsciously. These abandoned surface parts of hair, fingerprints, spit and so on develop skin and mucous membrane. Human beings contain water of 60% on the quantity. The water is called body fluid (blood, lymph and tissue) and has plentiful information as data of the body. Although body fluid of biological body is drained off as sweat and urine through skin and mucous membrane, it is visible with sweat and urine as fragments of body. In this exhibition, I would like to continue to present DNA “visible and audible” as well as the previous time. Fixing the theme of body fluid, I hope to remind each of their different existences of genes through the investigation for fragments of bodies again.
