Opened as a modern art gallery in Nihonbashi Bakuro-cho, Tokyo in 2008. The gallery name "CASHI - Contemporary Art SHIMA" has the meaning of a space which makes us feel the temperature (Fahrenheit = "Cashi" in Japanese) of a new age. The youthful sensibility and management way by the new-generation director is paid to attention. The policy is to introduce mainly young artists who, regardless of the genre of expression, have a solid ability. Among the represented artists are Tetsuomi Sukeda, Keita Sagaki, Kumiko Negami, Ichirota Suzuki, Shotaro Hokari, Tomoe Murakami, Yugo Kohrogi and Sachiko Miki.

Moved to Asakusabashi, Taito-ku, Tokyo in 2018.
