Iwasaki consistently tries to turn invisible existence - time, space and memory - into perceivable things. As a method to make invisible existence perceivable, he uses moving image that goes beyond the language barrier, and the moving image works with added drawings on a piece of paper produce a poetic atmosphere. In this exhibition, we exhibit the works in which “time” is especially focused. The time in our memory, the time in a mirror, the time in the bottom of a well, which is fictitious time? and which is real time?… by stirring a fixed idea, questioning on our perception and consciousness itself begins. We are going to exhibit the artworks of mutoscope and monitors with the intention of materialization of animation. It mixes “visible things (objects) and invisible things (time)”. It is an object if not moved and it is animation if it moves. As it is such art media we feel the projected images of time-art mixed with paintings and a sculpture, and feel it go beyond the border of an expression medium.
