In the winter of 2010, the “atelier incurve exhibition in tokyo 2010” at (marunouchi) House was held at the proposal of Koji Ono, the director of DIAMOND HEADS Inc. Numerous people participated in this show in response to his invitation for “the various bonds by yielding together.”In this tour of the exhibition, we present works of six artists and links of communication at (marunouchi) House.

Katsuhiro Terao
Born in 1960, Terao worked as a welder for 20 years at his father’s ironworks. Everything he sees is converted into an iron structure in his mind. His drawings, which he calls “plans,” are filled with pillar lines and welding symbols. His exhibitions are frequently held at galleries in New York and at art museums in Japan.

Mitsuo Yumoto
Born in 1978, Yumoto finds motifs in familiar things such as buildings, ships, bugs, and birds. These motifs are divided into colorful segments that multiply and fill the picture. His exhibitions are frequently held at galleries in New York and at art museums in Japan.

Kazuyuki Tsukamoto
Born in 1984, Tsukamoto prefers physical motifs and draws them with a relaxed touch. His playful, somewhat cynical style might make you laugh. His works were included in the Atelier Incurve Exhibition at Hamamatsu Municipal Museum of Art in 2010.

Hiromitsu Nobutani
Born in 1988, Nobutani creates an original rhythm and balance in arrangements of unidentifiable abstract figures. Their delicate texture is achieved through thin strokes of pen and colored pencil. His works were included in the Atelier Incurve Exhibition at Hamamatsu Municipal Museum of Art in 2010.

Eiji Takeda
Born in 1980, Takeda finds his motifs on advertising pages. He repeatedly drafts and resolves images and letters until a comfortable new order is formed. His exhibitions are frequently held at galleries in New York and at art museums in Japan. The solo exhibition “TAKEDA selected by Koji Ono” was held at gallery incurve | kyoto in 2010.

Tomoyuki Shinki
Born in 1982, Shinki is an avid fan of combat sports. The black lines accurately depict the intertwined, muscular bodies of wrestlers and recreate dynamic matches. His exhibitions are frequently held at galleries in New York and at art museums in Japan. The solo exhibition “Draws and Flows” at gallery incurve | kyoto was curated by Takahiro Okazawa in 2010.
