Manit Srinawichpoom is a highly regarded photographer from Thailand. His work encompasses both documentary themes and conceptual works, and he is also known for his boldly expressed opinions on political and social matters. His work for this exhibition is “Masters”, a series of portraits of Thai Buddhist masters. But there is much more to these portraits than meets the eye.

Tim Porter hails from Canada but has had a long photographic career in Asia, and now resides in Japan. His work for this exhibition is “Still Lives”, a series of portraits that he took when living in Thailand of conjoined foetuses retained as specimens in the university hospital museum. The work is fascinating but some will find it difficult to view.

Talk event: from 6pm on Saturday 21st May Manit will hold a talk and slideshow event. Subjects will include his life and work as a photographer based in Thailand with a wealth of experience in both documentary and fine art photography.
