The children who Yokokawa draws are posing in a favorite dress as putting the steak and bread on the head and holding a fork in the hand. The features like a celluloid doll and the background in which only mountain and building group are drawn, would recall the culture of the special effects hero and boy magazine in the 40's 1955 - our parent generation were crazy about. The food such as steak and bread and the clothes of living seem to indicate the traces of their yearning and distance to the foreign culture and products in the past time. While seeing the works one by one, we will be interested in our culture and the origin.
