Hitomi Aoki was born 1987 in Gifu. She received B.A in Painting from Tama Art University, and now studying in the Master’s Program. Aoki has been working under the theme of expressing images of life. In Spite of their unfamiliar appearance, surely we will feel their heartbeat, and will trust that they are living things. In this first solo exhibition at Gallery Jin, about 10 new paintings and some drawings are exhibited. Finely detailed paintings will show you curious creatures and spectacles on paper.

Curious creatures is multiplying on paper. Gaze at them, you will notice that they are constructed of various elements, internal organs, vines, petals, etc. These are kinds of chimera created in my imagination. They are breathing silently in the darkness, and always desire a time for appearance.
