This is the first solo exhibition of the artist. Kawano has ever produced her works using the keywordsー"rule". She sets up a rule of the "game" and the viewers follow the rule or play by it. Her site-specific works will induce various kinds of feelings and trigger thoughts, or they may motivate actions.

From Artist
I've ever created my works applying a certain rule to the works. What I push for in my everyday work may be the rule by which I can secretly play with someone else.

I'll wait, staying still or feeling entirely bored, for you to come here to the gallery, though the lingering summer heat will be intense outdoors.
