Trescott was born in Maitland, Australia in 1982, received a bachelor of fine arts with a major in painting from National Art School, Sydney. From 2007 to 2008, she participated in the residency program at Leipzig International Art Programme (LIA), and in 2008, she was awarded the Fleurieu Water Prize. Trescott now lives and works in Berlin.

Trescott paints with motifs found in European art history as well as on her direct observations while painting en plein air and still-life. Observers' interests in her works and the appreciation of them are growing steadily in recent years.

The exhibition title "Mankind, Nature, Myth" points to three of the elementary characteristics of the landscapes that are the focus of her work. The relationship between mankind and nature is one of the central questions in her landscape painting. Trescott's battling figures on the horizontal lines of landscape merge with the characteristic style of their background. It is neither nature that dominates the figure nor vice versa. The serial paintings in 2010 give one the impression that we are following an expedition from past times into unknown territory – perhaps the historical discovery and settlement of Australia.

In this exhibition, which will be her first solo exhibition in Japan, 38 new paintings are going to be exhibited.
