Heavy-snow-resistant KAMABOKO-shaped storehouse, popular shape of storehouse in Echigo Tsumari area, was reborn by Tsuyoshi Ozawa as artwork at Echigo Tsumari 2003, international contemporary art exhibition held once in three years in Tokamachi-city, Niigata. He invites four artists to activate "Kamaboko Art Center" as a base to create artwork and communicate with local people for Echigo Tsumari 2012 scheduled in 2 years.
