Galleria Ponte in Kanazawa opened in October 2008 in Kanazawa, aiming at being a ”core” of providing information on the reality of art and of producing stimulation and sympathy towards it. Exhibitions at Galleria Ponte are of art or artists with originality and universality, though the current age is still present.

"Ponte" means "bridge" in Italian. This would seem to signify a bridge to connect art with others far from it. To what place do works we encounter here connect us with art? Let’s cross this bridge to see it!

Among the represented artists are Kazuko Yamashita, Koji Nishifusa, Motonari Kakei, Shintaro Kojima, Toshihiro Okakura, Jiro Motoyama, Takahiro Hara, Michiko Hashimoto, Mika Takiya, Hiroto Sakamoto, Miyuki Takahashi, Tsuritani Kouki, Yoko Furusawa, Syunsuke Sato, Masami Dodo, Ami Ando, Michiyo Miwa, Masayo Odahashi, Yuri Takemura, Masae Kouda, and Toshio Onouchi.
