Editor's Note by Kae ISHII

A photograph work of daily necessaries such as detergent, artificial flowers, and files tidily arranged in the space; there are a lot of elements that touch the heartstrings of people who love especially a still‐life painting. It is not like the vanitas that explains the emptiness of this world, but the fresh happiness is alike the Bodego'n of Spain that drew the appearance of food and the kitchen. All the motifs are miscellaneous goods being sold in a supermarket. The artist chose them to be an object because he just likes it. However it is mysterious that the whole painting is settled by a flat and light color, as be shown in his past illustration works. The first collection 'ANONYMOUS POP' published at the same time of this exhibition is well edited to show the works as beautiful as possible, with a proper tension.
