This is a group exhibition by artists selected by the Japanese style painting laboratory of Kyoto University of Art and Design. Six artists participate as an invited artist in addition to six students; Kyoko Imagawa, Toshiyuki Kajioka, Ai Chuda, Masaya Hasegawa, Hiroyuki Fukuda, and Yoneda Minori. The motif is varied such as the plant which is a typical "Japanese style painting" motif and the windshield. However, even a novel work with the latter motif is in an old-fashioned inorganic metallic frame. I really doubt how much the method of exhibition was considered. Ai Chuda who is frequently introduced on KALONSNET, exhibits two works entitled “an overhead night”. The frontal view portraits recall her exhibition “Others inside of me” of the last year. The one like the cloud is hazily drawn in the "overhead" part as being in the title, which shows a humour and a sociality at the same time. This exhibition is held by the double feature in Tokyo and Kyoto every year, and the one in Kyoto is held in Muromachi Art court (8 - 13 December, 2009). Since this exhibition has already been held six times, I expect them to establish an official HP and notify enough information of the exhibited artists. The information is insufficient. There might not be a reason to hold also in Tokyo if they expect only the acquaintances.
