LOOP HOLE LOOP HOLE was established by a VFX artist, Toshiyuki Kimura in 1997, as a VFX studio which handles special effects of a variety of image media including TV, CM, PV, MV and games, etc by matte paints often used for the background pictures for movies. It then invited the ZENSHI representative, Zenshi Mikami to be its cooperation director, and opened a gallery on the contemporary art as an annex in the studio in June 2005. Fuchu is an area in west Tokyo in which there are not a large number of art spaces.

LOOP HOLE actively introduces artists and projects which may not been handled by the existing commercial galleries. The gallery introduces the up-to-date, analog art expression in contrast with the studio where an up-to-date digital image expression named VFX is produced. Together with the local environment of the shopping street called "Kokusai-Dori", this gallery is a deep and unique space.

Among the artists who were edxhibited in the past are Teppei Soutome, Toshiyuki Kimura, Tommy Ishii, Takuya Ikezaki, Daisuke Takahashi, Aya Murakami, Satoshi Okano, Hideyo Ohtsuki, Maeko Sato, Yusuke Saito, Fumiko Kobayashi, and O JUN.
