Azusa Komoda has been painting deep sea and universe using the technique of traditional Japanese painting. In addition to the works on wood panel, there are some big pieces painted on Byobu, which is the Japanese style folding screen made of wood and paper. Her favourite subject is the combination of swaying sea lilies in deep sea and the shining moon high up in the sky.
This is her first solo exhibition at Gallery Trinity and we are thrilled to see how she has deepened her favourite theme.
