GALLERY TERASHITA was opened in Fukui in 1982 as "IDUMI GALLERY", and was renamed with its current name in 2002 when it relocated to Kyobashi, Tokyo, and then to Ginza in May of 2009, discontinues the activity in December of 2010. GALLERY TERASHITA holds about 10 project exhibitions annually to introduce chiefly postwar-modern art including minimal-art, conceptual art and contemporary art by domestic and overseas artists. Its minimal and silent space is worth noting, and it can help us forget the clamor of Ginza for a while. Among the represented artists are Akio Igarashi, Dieter Villinger, Dirk Rathke, Gaku Kato, Naoki Funakoshi, Naomi Futaki, Natsuo Hashimoto, Peter Lynch, Sei Imazawa, Stephan Baumkötter, Takashi Suzuki, Tetsuya Miyagawa, Yoshio Ogawa, and Daniel Göettin.
