Opened in Kichijoji, Tokyo in 2001, Gallery SATORU holds an exhibition that introduces the artists chiefly of the 1960 -1980s once a month. Moreover, Gallery SATORU occasionally holds a live show connected with the exhibition to provide a communication space for artists, the works, and the viewers. It presents conversations about artists on the website and has also started the radio programs < Imaginary Talk > and < Artist Interview > that feature artist interviews, thus giving us a chance to hear artists’ real voices and thoughts. This gives us a closer understanding of the art world of Kichijoji. Among the represented artists are Masaya Eguchi, Elissa, Kenjiro Enomoto, Masayo Odahashi, Stephane Leroux, Yasue Hanamura, Saeko Hirano, Miku Fujino, Makiko Yamaguchi, and Sachiko Yoshimiya.
