Opened in Kagurazaka, Tokyo in 2004, and moved to Hibiya in 2009, and then to Hinode in February of 2011. The Takahashi Collection is a gallery that introduces mainly the artworks of domestic young artists to the public through a curated exhibition of a collection belonging to the psychiatrist, Ryutaro Takahashi, which he has gathered since 1997. The Takahashi Collection contains over 2,000 works including valuable debut works of artists representing Japan. It is proud of the quality of its artworks, and the quantity, which is remarkable in Japan for an individual collection. It widely supports artists, galleries, and museums through lending individual works to exhibit from the collection.
