Galerie Tokyo Humanité is pleased to announce YASUI Sumaco's solo exhibition of new prints, drawings and objects. Born in Osaka, Japan, Yasui graduated from Osaka University of Arts in 1982. She lives and works in Osaka.

Yasui's prints have a dreamy and warm atmosphere that is carefully created with delicate lines of etching and soft colors of hand-painted pastels. Many of her prints are used for book designs of novels including Ryu Murakami, Eiichi Ikegami and Jakucho Setouchi as well as illustrations for newspaper and books. In recent years she publishes picture books and a new autobiographic picture book will be published in February.
