Galerie Tokyo Humanité will present KOMATSUZAKI Akira's solo exhibition of new works. Komatsuzaki uses traditional materials of Japanese painting and paints birds repeatedly. He says he is attracted to the shapes of birds as they evoke memories of the past experiences or feelings attached to them.

Komatsuzaki (b. 1982) completed the doctoral program of Japanese painting at Musashino Art University without degree in 2010. He is a member of the SOGA-Kai Association of Japanese Painting, the association to promote contemporary Japanese painting.
