OPEN SITE 2018-2019 Part2

We have hold various program over two sessions such as exhibition, theater works, performance and so on in OPEN SITE 2018-2019 for seeking to create new platform where every expressive activity would gather.
OPEN SITE 2018-2019 Part2, It will start 1/12(Sat)-, Participating Artists: TAMAKI Akiko, MUTEK.JP, MIYATA Atsushi, contact Gonzo, Hydro Blast (OTA Shingo).
As the cross-genre and interdisciplinary nature of art continues to evolve, you can rely on us to host programs of ambitious self-expression, of free and powerful artistic will, without being constrained by existing genres.

Period: 2019.1.12 (Sat) – 2019.2.11(Mon)
Time:11:00 - 19:00 (Last entry 18:30) for exhibition
Venue: Tokyo Arts and Space Hongo (2-4-16 Hongo, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo)
*No parking is available at the venue. Visitors are encouraged to use public transportation.
Closed on: Mondays (Except 1/14, 2/11), 12/25 - 1/11, 1/15
Admission: Admission free / Booking not required

1. TAMAKI Akiko|Break Time No.6
Using a mechanism comprised of multiple kinds of media mixed together, this video installation seeks to shake the very foundations of the viewer, standing here viewing the piece in the now.

2. MUTEK.JP|VR Salon: Immersive Realities
This exhibition explores the idea of these new immersive media as a tool for a new form of artistic expression.

3. MIYATA Atsushi|BIBUN-BOOKS PUBLISHING: A Bookstore Dealing In Divisional Documents
'Bibun-Books' is a bookstore dealing in "differential publications (Bibun-cho)." A Bibun-cho is like some book written by someone from somewhere with someone. We also publish, and welcome everyone to simply come in, browse, and read in the space.

Taking the impromptu nature of a fist-fight or collision as a basis, this new performance piece from contact Gonzo reveals the physical expressions of pain and astonishment. Features media artist yang02 as a special guest collaborator.

2. Hydro Blast (OTA Shingo)|Ghosts take a taxi
This dramatic piece reexamines and critiques the abstract notion of 'border' and 'territory' through a unique methodology that integrates techniques of "dance," "comic storytelling" and "documentary."
