From exhibition works

Things that are right in front of us… even if they truly exist in our sight it does not mean that we are actually ‘looking’ at them. Every little thing that is shaping our every day sceneries has been storing countless amounts of our past and memories. We can say that not being able to capture those past memories from things is actually enabling us to live our peaceful daily lives.
Kazu ; M makes those things visible in our conscious by photography, things that are living quietly in our visible daily sceneries as traces of past memories. Being cut off by an accurate camera angle and then inscribed on the photographic paper with stillness… those subjects are just telling us that they still exist there just as they are without ever speaking loudly to us.
In this exhibition, Kazu ; M shows us the views of the small island - so-called “the Rabbit Island” - which floats in Seto Inland Sea.
