From exhibition work (acrylic, gesso and dyed mud pigment on paper)

   - The Sky which turned red in the setting sun expresses that the world is suffering together with mankind. And an each individual rain drop is an incarnation of past lives. -

To think of the people who have passed away is one of the human conditions. Oyama’s philosophical standpoint is the fact that her existence is shaped by the countless lives and deaths which are piled up from the very distant past. In Oyama’s art, we can feel the nature itself and also the mind of people who were born, lived and died in nature which circulates everything and brings us up continuously. In her art works that reminds us of the atmosphere that swirls as possessing the light, darkness and stream, we can see the artist’s intention for the people who live in the present moment to deliver towards those who are going to live in the future.
