"The Diffusion of GANDA" 2017 Gouache on Japanese paper 130.3x130.3cm

Galerie Tokyo Humanité is pleased to present GANDA, an exhibition of SAIT Yufuji's new paintings. "GANDA" is a name of an Indian rhino that served as a model of Albrecht Dürer's woodcut "RHINOCERUS."
Sait (b. 1949) studied oil painting and tempera of the classical painting in Vienna after he graduated from Musashino Art University in Tokyo in 1973 and had many exhibitions in Europe until he returned to Japan in 1988. In the following year, he had the first solo exhibition with us.
