OPEN STUDIO 2017-2018

Open Studio is a special occasion for the audience to see the creative activities of residing creators, hear their talks and a dialogue with guest speakers.

12 groups/ 14 creators will exhibit and present their works in Tokyo, and 9 groups/ 10 creators will give artist talks on July 22nd.
On July 23rd, there will be a special talk by Khvay Samnang, Cambodia's leading artist of the new generation, about his works including the latest work he presents at documenta 14 this year and about the strategy of creating art work using the body in different spaces.
We invite Miku Kamimura (Collaborative Fellow, Institute of Asian, African, and Middle Eastern Studies, Sophia University / Part-time Lecturer, J.F. Oberlin University) as a guest and she will talk about the land issues and their background in Cambodia today.
