INS Studio and Stones Throw Records are pleased to present Ryu Okubo’s Exhibition in Tokyo while welcoming Los Angeles-based musician Mndsgn on his Japan Tour. Okubo is a Japanese artist and videographer who has worked on Japanese recording artists’ music videos and books. Mndsgn (pronounced Mind Design) is an American recording artist and music producer who has released two albums on LA-based record label Stones Throw.

Okubo illustrated and directed Mndsgn’s music video for “Alluptoyou”, a song from his latest album, Body Wash. This exhibition is based on the music video’s artwork created by Okubo. He spent three months illustrating about 1,000 frames by airbrush. For the first time, the art will be on sale during this special 5-day exhibition. Okubo’s original storyboards and instruments will be showcased as well. Stones Throw will also have Mndsgn’s music and merch products for sale during the event.
