Galerie Tokyo Humanité is pleased to announce KAWASHIMA Kiyoshi's solo exhibition Drawings Part 1. This exhibition will showcase approx. ten recent drawings.
Kawashima (b. 1951) is known for his sculptures composed of massive materials including steel, lead, wood, and plaster. Drawings and other two-dimensional works are also considered as part of sculpture composed of such materials as paper or board rather than plan drawings of sculptures.
Currently, Kawashi's solo exhibition is held in Kawagoe City Art Museum in Saitama, Japan until September 11, and it will travel to Iwaki City Art Museum in Fukushima, Japan in November.
