Galerie Ashiya Schule is pleased to present Midori Terashima’s
from July 9h to July 31st.
Midori Terashima has endeavored to express the energy of the life which oozes out from the natural world with her brushstrokes, while depicting the weaves of air and time with delicacy and skill.
She has energetically worked on various productions, including a series of huge pictures covering up a physical space, layered drawings of colors and public exhibition of painted studios.
This exhibition consists of groups, independently composed, but making pairs. The only thing which connects the pair is stillness and the tense dynamic of the brushstrokes.
The condensed compositions stand out with a positive presence and the lyrical layers is colored by images of floating thoughts. We are looking forward to your visit to witness her endless pursuit of abstract art.

I want to depict the world surrounding me just the way it is, no matter how elusive it may be. The world is hard to capture, and it is beautiful to me all the more because it is so. For me to paint is an act of accepting the world as is, and it is an act of letting me living my life.
