When Matsumoto Shinichi saw a Diet deliberation of the Specific Official Secrets Act plan in TV, he was attracted by the " black stripes " with which some part of the document were covered. Those black spaces seemed to show the memory that there was something with overwhelming presence. That black stripe, he thinks, is just the symbol of the contradiction and refraction that he always feels whenever he tries to express what he cannot tell with words although he cannot think about it without any words at all. Therefore, the black space in Matsumoto's painting, something like the burnt mark which appears after his thought is overheated and burnt down, strangely approaches us as if it is some entity, even if we cannot follow the logic of his thought.
