Exhibition work, oil and acrylic on canvas 【 記事本文(英語) 】 Urasaki Mikio is a painter who draws only things reflecting on his eyes, because he is possessed by a certain power by which outside things grab and shake his mind. In his daily life, he often finds something in his view standing against him as a totally unfamiliar thing and that threatens his way of recognition and feeling about this world. To express this " otherness " of things confronting and pushing back his eyes, he has kept searching original methode of mixing drawing, decalcomania and collage so that his own habit of drawing woud be interfered, and his painting itself could be alien to him. Thus we can experience his each work as if we are confronting the scene which is at a glance very familiar but has an extraordinary reality.
