Opened in Shin-Kyogoku Sanjo in 2001 and then moved to Fumitsubaki Building in Karasumaru Sanjo in 2005, gallery neutron offers a unique and familiar exhibition space with its refined building designed in 1920, with a 5m high-ceiling and a cafe in an annex. It contributes to introducing new artists by providing a huge number of artist profiles at the cafe and making these freely viewable. gallery neutron is considered as a cultural centre of Kyoto through this activity. It covers a wide range of genres, from modern art to illustration and graphic design, as well as representing artists from the well-known to those newly arrived on the scene.
